Yes, Trump will 100% end the conservatorships of Fannie and Freddie via recap and release and in the process there will be a simple equity restructuring where junior preferred shareholders have contracts that cannot be changed without a 2/3 vote --- aka they're getting par. And they probably exit conservatorship in 2025. This will only have a positive impact on the mortgage market and agency mbs.
