Judge Sweeney has advanced to senior status in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and her duties as Chief Judge have been assumed by the Honorable Eleni M. Roumel. Chief Judge Roumel has reassigned the cases challenging the Net Worth Sweep to the Honorable Stephen S. Schwartz. Judge Schwartz was nominated by President Trump on June 7, 2017, confirmed on Dec. 8, 2020, and received his commission on Dec. 22, 2020. Copies of the paperwork reassigning Fairholme’s lawsuit are attached to this e-mail message.
